    LEGACY MEMORIAL FUND

We are humbled to be able to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Karen Rogers with this memorial fund

to recognize her role in the founding and success of Lubock Learning Difference Center and

Sharp Academy. Our organization provides a full educational diagnostic center and a college

prep school for students with dyslexia and ADHD. 

In 2009, Dr. Karen Rogers, was a founding board member. She will always be well known

across the South Plains for specializing in finding answers for parents who had children

struggling, when no one else could help; she gave them a pathway to a future.  This fund will help continue her legacy to assist parents in finding answers to make sure their child succeeds in education!

That is how I met my mentor, and friend, Karen, 18 years ago. My son, Chase, could not read, and after searching for years for answers, she tested my son and said, "Not only is he dyslexic, but he is a double deficit dyslexic." This changed his life and he learned to read.

Dr. Rogers has impacted 1000's of children over the years, providing answers so that they could thrive, not only in school, but in life. She will be deeply missed. She was a loving mother, sister, friend and colleague. We are praying for her family, friends and staff.

We will continue to help parents find answers to ensure their child will thrive; carrying on the good work that the legendary Dr. Karen Rogers started, here in Lubbock, TX.  All donations to our organization are tax deductible and will benefit children with learning disabilities.
