As a Christian based private "niche" school, Sharp Academy meets real needs for students who have learning challenges related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, etc. The teachers at Sharp Academy are committed to helping kids who learn differently ... learn! Our grandson is in 10th grade and has attended Sharp since mid-year 7th grade. He struggled for many years in public schools in Lubbock and Odessa because of ADHD, dyslexia, non-diagnosed dysgraphia, other learning challenges, plus bullying stemming from these issues. Although diagnosed with dyslexia in 2nd grade, the learning methods used in the various public schools he attended were not meeting his learning needs. Like many students who have these challenges and learn differently versus the majority of students, he was slipping through the cracks and was on a significant downward trajectory academically and personally. Over the last few years while attending Sharp, he has been successful turning his academic and personal trajectory upward. Also, he has shifted from a follower to a positive leader. His parents and siblings live in Odessa. So, during the school year he lives with us in Lubbock to attend Sharp Academy. This dynamic can be difficult. But, because of God’s provision the outcomes we are seeing in his life since 7th grade are true blessings!

My son became a confident and successful young man after changing schools to come to Sharp Academy. He went from being behind and frustrated to become Valedictorian of his graduating class, with 30 college hours. Great teachers, excellent management, and the best college prep program in West Texas! My child was very unhappy and their confidence was low until we found Sharp Academy. Turns out she had a specific form of dyslexia as well as being gifted! Public school was going to put her in special ed. At Sharp, they cater to her learning difference and she is excelling and vibrant again! Sharp was a God send!

Sharp Academy has shaped our middle schooler and helped her in so many ways. Excellent school, exemplary staff and service. Sharp goes above and beyond to help each child with their specific needs and help them feel successful. Truly a hidden gem in Lubbock!

Our son is in 8th grade, has the highest GPA in his class for the 3rd year in a row and loves participating in any sport they offer. His confidence has grown not only academically but also personally. Sharp is a small, but mighty, school that teaches children how they need to learn. If you are looking for individualized and personalized high level, one-on-one education for your kid, Sharp is the place to be! March 21, 2021

Sharp Academy is exemplary! My son is in his second year attending Sharp Academy. His ADHD created quite a learning challenge in public school. His self-esteem and grades have soared since becoming a Sharp Saber. He is now an A/B student, participates in Athletics, and Theater, and now loves going to school. I am very thankful for the school's mission to educate kids with learning differences and the teachers and administrators that make it happen.

Very grateful for this school and the teachers and staff. Excellent learning opportunities specialized in helping those with a need. The small class size and caring teachers make it ideal for my child. She has become a different person with a want to go to school instead of a dredge. Take a look, you will like what you see!

My Granddaughter started at Sharp Academy in Kindergarten. She is now in 5th grade and diagnosed with Intellectual Ability GT. The personalized instruction in the classroom is key to her success. The honors level material is just challenging enough to keep her engaged and not get bored. The field trips, community service, theater and sports keep her active and learning in the real world! Every penny is well worth the Christian environment, caring teachers and excellent education. May 2025

Excellent school Our son has been attending Sharp since 6th grade. The teachers and staff go above and beyond for my son to succeed. We as parents love that the students at Sharp are receiving college credits when they graduate high school. We highly recommend sending your students to Sharp Academy.

Our son has attended Sharp Academy for the past 5 years. The teachers and staff at the Academy are preparing my son for life in the real world and college. We highly recommend Sharp Academy to family and friends. Our son enjoys going to school and playing Basketball. No regrets in sending our son to Sharp Academy because of his learning disability Sharp has help our son succeed in all his classes compared to having him attend a local school.
